Search Sentinel uses a credit-based system for monitoring. Each URL check consumes one credit. Your monthly plan includes a set number of credits that reset at the beginning of each billing cycle.
This flexible system lets you monitor many URLs infrequently or fewer URLs frequently, depending on your needs.

Optimizing Credit Usage
Adjust Check Frequency
Not all URLs need hourly checks. Consider different frequencies:
- Hourly: Critical pages (homepage, checkout, key landing pages)
- Every 6 hours: Important pages (product pages, key blog posts)
- Daily: Standard pages (general content, old blog posts)
- Weekly: Archive pages, low-traffic content
Pause Unused URLs
Temporarily pause monitoring for URLs that don't need active monitoring. Resume anytime without losing configuration.
Use Budget Alerts
Set budget alerts at 50%, 75%, and 90% of your monthly credits. Get notified before running out and adjust monitoring accordingly.
What Happens When Credits Run Out?
During Billing Cycle
If you exhaust your monthly credits, monitoring pauses until the next billing cycle or until you purchase add-on credits. Existing alerts remain configured.
Automatic Top-Up
Enable automatic credit top-up to ensure uninterrupted monitoring. When credits run low, we automatically purchase a credit pack and charge your payment method.
Monthly Reset
Your monthly credit allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle. Unused monthly credits do not roll over, but add-on credits never expire.

Upgrading Your Plan
Upgrade anytime to get more credits and team members:
- Immediate access to higher credit limit
- Prorated credit for remaining time on old plan
- Additional team seats available immediately
Downgrading Your Plan
Downgrade at any time:
- Change takes effect at next billing cycle
- No prorated refunds for unused time
- Ensure URL count and team size fit new plan limits
Cancellation
Cancel anytime. Your account remains active until the end of the current billing period. Export all historical data before cancellation.

No, monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle. However, purchased add-on credit packs never expire.
Do alerts consume credits?
No. Alerts are unlimited and free. Only URL checks consume credits.
Can I purchase credits for someone else?
Yes. Gift credit packs can be purchased and applied to any Search Sentinel account.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe. Enterprise customers can pay via invoice.
Do you offer discounts for annual billing?
Yes. Annual plans receive 2 months free (16.7% discount). Contact us for annual billing options.
Can I get a refund?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. Contact support to request a refund.
